Pennsylvania Senate honors U.S. Army Air Forces Corporal Glenn Hodak, born March 17, 1922, in Cambridge Springs, Pennsylvania, who served as a tail gunner in a B-29 Superfortress bomber during World War II

Corporal Hodak participated in the Great Tokyo Air Raid on March 10, 1945, when 300 B-29 bombers dropped 1,700 tons of incendiary bombs on Tokyo, Japan

Shot down and held as a prisoner of war, Corporal Hodak perished in the May 1945 Tokyo Prison Fire along with other servicemen; his remains were unidentified for over 80 years

Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency identified Corporal Hodak in September 2024 using dental records and anthropological analysis after disinterring remains from Manila American Cemetery in April 2022

Remains will return to Pennsylvania with military escort for burial at Spring Creek Cemetery alongside his mother and two brothers
