More than 9 million Americans served on active duty during the Vietnam War period, with 2.7 million serving in-country or in-waters, and over 58,000 killed including nearly 3,150 Pennsylvanians

References Pennsylvania Act 124 of 2024, which established March 29 as an annual Vietnam War Veterans Day in the Commonwealth and requires the Governor to issue annual proclamations encouraging schools to observe the day

Follows the federal Vietnam War Veterans Recognition Act of 2017, which designated March 29 as National Vietnam War Veterans Day and added it to the U.S. Flag Code
