Approximately 140,000 people die annually from alcohol-related causes, making alcohol the fourth leading preventable cause of death in the United States

Alcohol Awareness Month has been sponsored by the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. each April since 1987

Directs the Senate to inform Pennsylvanians about the dangers of alcohol use and abuse in both adults and children
