Prohibits health insurers and health plans from denying payment of medical bills solely because the charges may have arisen from a third-party claim or incident (such as car accidents or personal injury cases), with the exception of workers' compensation claims

Adds failure to submit medical bills to health insurers based solely on potential third-party claims as a form of "unprofessional conduct" for physicians under the Board of Medical Licensure and Discipline

Amends four separate insurance code chapters to apply the prohibition uniformly across accident/sickness insurance policies, nonprofit hospital service corporations, nonprofit medical service corporations, and health maintenance organizations

Takes effect immediately upon passage
