A.T. Wall graduated summa cum laude from Yale University and Yale Law School, worked at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, and returned to Rhode Island in 1985 to begin his corrections career

As Director, Wall initiated a nation-leading medication-assisted treatment program for inmates with addiction disorders and a program where inmates trained service dogs for injured military veterans and disabled individuals

During his nearly two-decade tenure as Director, there were no homicides or successful escapes in his facilities, and no federal court interventions in department operations

Secretary of State is directed to transmit a certified copy of the resolution to Wall's wife, Maria DeCarvalho, and family
