Reduces the waiting period for expungement of a single misdemeanor conviction from 5 years to 3 years after sentence completion

Reduces the waiting period for expungement of a felony conviction from 10 years to 5 years after sentence completion

Reduces the waiting period for expungement of multiple misdemeanor convictions (2-5 misdemeanors, no felonies) from 10 years to 5 years after completion of the last sentence

Crimes of violence, certain driving offenses (DUI-related under § 31-27-2 and § 31-27-2.1), and fugitive from justice offenses remain ineligible for expungement

Takes effect immediately upon passage
