Grocery stores limited to a maximum of 8 self-service checkout stations operating at any one time per location

Requires at least one manual (human-operated) checkout station for every two self-service stations in operation

Employees monitoring self-service checkouts may oversee no more than 2 stations simultaneously and cannot be assigned other duties while monitoring

Violations result in fines equal to one 8-hour shift of wages based on the store's highest hourly retail clerk wage for each day of violation

Employees and consumers may file complaints with the Department of Labor and Training; retaliation against complainants is prohibited and punishable as an unlawful act
