Recognizes January 27, 2026 as "International Holocaust Remembrance Day" in Rhode Island, commemorating the 81st anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz where more than 1.1 million people were murdered

Acknowledges the Holocaust resulted in the systematic murder of approximately six million Jews, plus millions of others including Roma, Poles, disabled individuals, LGBTQ+ individuals, Soviet prisoners of war, and political dissidents

Notes a sharp rise in antisemitism and extremism in Rhode Island, across the country, and around the world in the past year

Encourages Rhode Island citizens to participate in educational programs about the Holocaust and the ongoing fight against hatred, discrimination, and antisemitism

Directs the Secretary of State to transmit certified copies to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, Rhode Island Holocaust Museum, Jewish Alliance of Greater Rhode Island, Jewish Community Center of Rhode Island, and Rhode Island Israel Collaborative
