Designates January 30, 2026, as "Fred Korematsu Day of Civil Liberties and the Constitution" in Rhode Island, honoring Korematsu's birthday (January 30, 1919)

Honors Fred Korematsu, who at age 23 refused to comply with Executive Order 9066 authorizing Japanese American internment during WWII, was arrested and convicted, and challenged the order before the U.S. Supreme Court

Notes that Korematsu's conviction was vacated by a federal court in 1983 after evidence revealed the government had suppressed proof showing no legitimate security threat existed; he received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1998

Acknowledges a public educational program on January 30, 2026, hosted by Roger Williams University in collaboration with multiple organizations including the AAPI History Museum and Japan-America Society of Rhode Island

Directs the Secretary of State to transmit certified copies of the resolution to Governor Daniel J. McKee and Roger Williams University President Ioannis N. Miaoulis
