Proclaims February 2026 as "American Heart Month" in Rhode Island to raise awareness of heart disease

One in four Americans die from heart disease annually; in 2022, heart disease caused 22% of all deaths in Rhode Island

Primary risk factors identified include high cholesterol, high blood pressure, smoking, diabetes, and excessive alcohol use

Encourages citizens to wear red, use social media to share heart health facts, learn CPR, start fitness challenges, and volunteer with heart health organizations

Directs the Secretary of State to transmit certified copies to the Rhode Island Department of Health Director and the American Heart Association – Rhode Island
