Applies to content uploaded, created, distributed, or originated from within Rhode Island, as well as content posted from outside the state if viewable within Rhode Island

Defines "artificial intelligence" as a machine-based system that performs analysis, reasoning, and problem-solving and can generate predictions, recommendations, photographs, videos, or other content

Violations by persons or entities acting for profit or trade constitute a deceptive trade practice under Rhode Island law, subject to civil penalties under § 6-13.1-8

Takes effect immediately upon passage
