Extends liability immunity under Rhode Island's Mental Health Law to advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs), previously limited to physicians and surgeons

APRNs licensed or privileged to practice in Rhode Island cannot be held liable for participation in mental health proceedings except in cases of actual fraud or gross, willful, or wanton negligence

Protects APRNs from liability for damages arising from a patient's exercise of rights under the Mental Health Law, including discharge, when such actions contradict the APRN's written orders or advice

Amends Section 40.1-5-41 of the General Laws by replacing references to "surgeons" with "advanced practice registered nurses"

Takes effect immediately upon passage
