Law enforcement agencies must electronically submit domestic violence/sexual assault reporting forms and corresponding police report narratives to the domestic violence training and monitoring unit monthly, replacing the previous paper-based system

Reporting forms must now include information about the existence of any language barriers, in addition to existing required data such as party names, relationships, dates of birth, incident details, weapons involved, and prior court orders

Cases still under investigation or with unexecuted arrest warrants must be reported as soon as practicable, but no later than the end of the calendar year in which the incident occurred

The domestic violence training and monitoring unit is clarified to be within the administrative office of state courts, which prescribes the form and process for submissions

The act takes effect upon passage
