New benefit amounts by deceased member's highest annual salary: $1,025/month (salary ≤$17,000), $1,200/month ($17,001-$25,000), $1,375/month ($25,001-$33,000), $1,550/month ($33,001-$40,000), $1,725/month ($40,001+)

Previous benefit amounts being replaced ranged from $825 to $1,375 per month, representing increases of approximately 24-25% across all tiers

Adds yearly adjustment of base benefit tied to annual Social Security cost-of-living adjustments
