Taylor founded multiple Rhode Island businesses including Pizza Villa, Forget-Me-Not Flower Shoppe, The Pink Tulip, Weddings Made in Heaven, Lily's + Lace, and Tropical Interiors

First female President of the Providence Sunrise Rotary Club and one of the first women elected to the Providence Rotary Club; also served as President of the West Bay chapter of the League of Women Voters

Served on boards including the Rhode Island Historical Society, Keep Providence Beautiful, and Rhode Island Heart Association; elected as Rhode Island delegate to the 2012 Democratic National Convention

Secretary of State directed to transmit certified copies of the resolution to her daughters, Sheri Conley and Kelly Taylor
