Schools must report noncredentialled employees terminated for good and just cause to the Rhode Island Department of Elementary and Secondary Education within 60 days of termination (or 60 days after an appeal is concluded and upheld)

The department must maintain and update monthly a list of terminated noncredentialled employees and the reasons for their terminations, accessible only to hiring authorities at private, parochial, charter, and public schools

The list is exempt from public records laws and is not accessible to the general public

"Noncredentialled employees" excludes teachers, athletic coaches, teaching assistants, superintendents, principals, and any other position requiring a department-issued certificate or license

Terminations due to contract non-renewal, fiscal exigency, or program reorganization are excluded from reporting requirements
