Amends existing Rhode Island law on electronic monitoring in nursing and assisted living facilities to require facilities that provide internet access to residents to allow connection of electronic monitoring devices at no extra cost

Residents remain responsible for all costs of purchasing, installing, maintaining, and removing electronic monitoring devices

Electronic monitoring devices must include video timestamping and allow movement tracking to be disabled if it is a default setting

All monitoring device installations must be UL-listed and placed in a conspicuously visible location in the resident's room

Facilities are prohibited from charging residents for electricity used by electronic monitoring devices
