Authorizes the Director of the Department of Labor and Training to adopt federal OSHA standards (29 CFR Parts 1900-1990) as Rhode Island state law if the federal government materially diminishes OSHA's scope, enforcement capacity, or regulatory authority through repeal, defunding, reduction in force, rulemaking, or executive order.

Requires the director to promptly notify the governor, speaker of the house, and senate president upon determining that federal OSHA protections have been substantially curtailed.

Directs the General Assembly to appropriate funds and authorize additional staff positions necessary for the Department of Labor and Training to administer and enforce the adopted federal standards.

Preserves the General Assembly's authority to subsequently amend, supplement, or repeal any standards adopted under this provision through the ordinary legislative process.

Takes effect immediately upon passage.
