DUI and chemical test refusal violations (§ 31-27-2 and § 31-27-2.1) require a 10-year waiting period after sentence completion before expungement can be requested, compared to 5 years for other misdemeanors

Traffic tribunal records for alcohol-related offenses under § 31-27-2.1 will be automatically expunged after 10 years instead of the current 5 years

DUI and chemical test refusal convictions are excluded from the multiple misdemeanor expungement provision that allows persons with 2-5 misdemeanors to seek expungement

Courts must apply a 10-year lookback period (matching felony standards) when evaluating expungement petitions for DUI-related offenses to determine if the petitioner has remained arrest and conviction-free
