Redefines "whole salary" for members retiring on or after July 1, 2026 to include the highest compensation earned during any consecutive 12-month period, encompassing base salary, longevity increment, holiday pay, clothing allowance, and overtime pay per collective bargaining agreements.

Members hired before July 1, 2007 may retire after 20 years of service at 50% of whole salary, with 3% additional for each year beyond 20 years up to a maximum of 25 years (capped at 65% of whole salary).

Members hired on or after July 1, 2007 may retire after 25 years of service at 50% of whole salary, with 3% additional for each year beyond 25 years up to a maximum of 30 years (capped at 65% of whole salary).

All retired state police members and beneficiaries will receive an annual benefit adjustment of $1,500 starting July 1, 2026, and each January 1 thereafter, replacing other cost-of-living adjustments in the chapter.

Members who retired between July 1, 2012 and July 1, 2026 will have their retirement allowances prospectively recalculated under the new formula, though no retroactive adjustments will be made for periods before July 1, 2026.
