Rhode Island House Resolution expressing condolences on the passing of Martha M. Farrell of Cumberland, who died February 21, 2026, at age 71

Martha Farrell worked as a nurse at multiple hospitals including Emerson Hospital, Memorial Hospital, Women & Infants Hospital, Sturdy Memorial Hospital, and Fuller Hospital in Massachusetts and Rhode Island

Community involvement included volunteering at schools and church, working with Marriage Equality Rhode Island, mentoring, and serving on the Cumberland School Committee

Survived by husband Thomas C. Farrell (married nearly 50 years), three children, one sister, and two grandchildren

Secretary of State directed to transmit certified copies of the resolution to Thomas C. Farrell and family
