Appropriates $1,000,000 to 401 Tech Bridge to study and explore seagliders in Rhode Island, in collaboration with the Rhode Island Seaglider Initiative (RISI)

Seagliders are all-electric, passenger-carrying, wing-in-ground-effect vehicles designed for coastal routes with zero carbon emissions

Funding will support a feasibility study to assess the use and operation of seagliders in Rhode Island

Anticipated benefits include reducing thousands of tons of carbon and GHG emissions annually, expanding business and job training opportunities, and providing sustainable travel access to east coast hubs
