Rhode Island House of Representatives formally recognizes and commends Providence Promise, the state's only nonprofit dedicated to early college planning and savings for Providence public and charter school students

Providence Promise provides $100 seed deposits for 529 college savings accounts and offers incentive programs allowing students to earn up to $3,000 per year for educational engagement and achievement

The organization currently serves nearly 1,300 students from approximately 700 families, has helped families save more than $2 million collectively, and maintains a 97% student retention rate

Programs include academic enrichment, college and career readiness activities, financial literacy education, socio-emotional development, and bilingual family engagement services

The Secretary of State is directed to transmit a certified copy of the resolution to Providence Promise
