Increases the retirement benefit accrual rate from 2.25% to 2.5% of final compensation per year of service for all police officers and firefighters for service rendered after June 30, 2026

Applies to all members regardless of age or years of service, commencing July 1, 2026

Members retiring at age 57 with at least 30 years of service retain existing benefit calculations for the period July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2026, then receive the enhanced 2.5% rate for subsequent service

Maintains the 75% of final compensation cap on total retirement allowance

Takes effect upon passage
