Increases the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) allocation from the highway maintenance account to 20% of available proceeds beginning July 1, 2026

Represents a doubling from the 10% allocation that was in effect for fiscal year 2025-2026 (July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026)

Continues the phased increase from the original 5% allocation that was in place from July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2025

RIPTA also continues to receive a separate minimum annual allocation of $5 million in addition to the percentage-based funding

Funds are designated for RIPTA operating expenditures
