Private corporations and companies would receive 50% state reimbursement for utility facility relocation costs necessitated by federally-aided highway construction projects.

Municipalities, political subdivisions, authorities, and state agencies would receive 100% state reimbursement for utility relocation costs related to highway projects.

Reimbursement applies only to actual relocation costs, not facility upgrades or betterments.

Utility relocations must be completed within state-established target dates and meet state design criteria to qualify for reimbursement.

Act takes effect upon passage.
