Scanned images of irregular ballots (write-in votes) must be published on the state board of elections website, in addition to being stored digitally on physical electronic media in optical-scan precinct-count units.

Local boards of canvassers must adjudicate individual write-in votes when the total number of write-ins may affect election outcomes, including when write-in totals fall within recount margins.

Write-in candidates who have filed required campaign finance reports or meet filing exemption thresholds are entitled to adjudication of their write-in votes regardless of total votes cast.

The state board must publish images of all write-in votes for each office on its website, regardless of candidate eligibility or whether votes may affect outcomes, along with total write-in vote counts for each office.
