Rhode Island Senate expresses condolences on the passing of Francis D. Landry, Jr., born in Norwich, Connecticut in 1952 and a lifelong Newport resident

Landry worked as a water treatment plant operator for the City of Newport for 30 years, often working up to 90 hours per week, after previously serving as an automotive salesman at Newport Autocenter

Served as President of his union for the City of Newport, served on the Newport Housing Authority, and played a key role in founding Newport Heights

Survived by daughters Meagan and Gretchen Landry, and siblings Michael, Paul, Kathleen, and Carol

Secretary of State directed to transmit certified copies of the resolution to his daughters
