Rhode Island Senate resolution expressing condolences on the passing of Carrigan McCorrie-Raine Nelson, daughter of Tammy and Paul Nelson

Carrigan fought a seven-year battle with Osteosarcoma while pursuing her passion for music, graduating from the MMVS Contemporary Recording Artists Program in 2019 and studying at Bristol Music Academy

Achieved a black belt and gold medal in Taekwondo, sang the National Anthem for the Boston Red Sox Jimmy Fund Radio Telethon, and won numerous awards including Beach Idol and Newport NAACP Role Model of the Year

Received the 2025 RI Communities Choice "Person of the Year" Award, and both her hometown and State Legislature proclaimed "Cancer Warrior Day" and "Carrigan Nelson Day" in her honor

Directs the Secretary of State to transmit a certified copy of the resolution to her parents, Tammy and Paul Nelson
