Rhode Island Senate resolution expressing condolences on the death of Margaret M. Ottman of Bellingham, Massachusetts, introduced by Senator Brian J. Thompson on January 22, 2026

Margaret Ottman was born in Schenectady, New York in 1927 and served 38 years in Federal Government Civilian Service, working at the Schenectady Army Depot (1944-1965) and U.S. Army Natick Research Laboratories (1965-1982)

In retirement, she became a skilled quilter, donating quilts to the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp and quilting with the Bellingham Senior Center

She is survived by her daughter Nancy Phillips (wife of Rhode Island State Representative Robert Phillips), three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren

Directs the Secretary of State to transmit a certified copy of the resolution to Nancy Phillips and family
