Adds second-degree sexual assault (§ 11-37-4) to the list of offenses with a 10-year statute of limitations, extending the time prosecutors have to bring charges

Currently, second-degree sexual assault would fall under the default 3-year statute of limitations for criminal offenses not otherwise specified

First-degree sexual assault and child molestation sexual assault offenses already have no statute of limitations under existing law

Takes effect immediately upon passage
