Grocery stores limited to a maximum of 8 self-service checkout stations operating at any one time per location

Stores must maintain at least 1 manual checkout station for every 2 self-service stations in operation

Employees monitoring self-service checkouts may oversee no more than 2 stations simultaneously and cannot be assigned any other duties, including operating a manual checkout

Violations subject to fines equal to one 8-hour shift at the store's highest hourly retail clerk wage for each day of violation; continued non-compliance after 30 days constitutes an unlawful act

Employees and consumers may file complaints with the Department of Labor and Training, with retaliation protections for both groups
