Exempts portable solar devices from interconnection standards, utility technical requirements, and the formal net metering program application process

Requires portable solar devices to include an automatic shutoff feature that prevents the system from energizing the building's electrical system during power outages

Prohibits electric distribution companies from requiring customers to obtain approval, pay fees, or install additional equipment to use portable solar devices

Electric distribution companies are not liable for any damage or injury caused by portable solar generation devices
