Fraudulently acquiring or retaining a gift card or redemption information without consent under $1,500 is punishable by up to $1,000 fine or up to one year imprisonment, plus restitution

Fraud exceeding $1,500 (including cumulative amounts over any six-month period) triggers felony larceny penalties under § 11-41-5

Fraudulently altering or tampering with a gift card constitutes forgery under § 11-17-1

Civil penalty of up to $250 remains for violations of posting requirements under § 6-59-2
