Mandates partition in kind (physical division into separate parcels) as the preferred outcome unless it would cause "great prejudice" to co-tenants as a group

Requires courts to consider factors including sentimental attachment, ancestral value, duration of family ownership, and each co-tenant's contributions to property expenses when deciding partition method

Takes effect January 1, 2027, and applies to partition actions filed after that date
