Repeals four sections of Rhode Island General Laws (16-22-30 through 16-22-33) governing statewide academic standards and curriculum requirements for public schools

Eliminates the requirement for the Commissioner of Education to develop statewide academic standards in mathematics, English language arts, science and technology, history and social studies, world languages, and the arts for grades PK-12

Removes the mandate for curriculum frameworks that guide teacher education, professional development, and student assessments including alignment with the Rhode Island Comprehensive Assessment System (RICAS)

Ends the requirement that local education agencies (public, regional, charter, and state-operated schools) select and implement state-identified high-quality curricula and materials by specified deadlines

Takes effect immediately upon passage
