Police reports involving railroad fatalities and all communications between police officers and railroad crew members involved in such fatalities must be kept confidential and not made public

Reports remain accessible upon written request to the host railroad, the employing railroad of any mentioned employee, law enforcement officers, the Attorney General's office, and others authorized by judicial order

Communications between police and railroad employees about fatality incidents may be shared with authorized parties only when necessary to perform their duties

Violations are punishable as a misdemeanor with up to 1 year imprisonment, a fine up to $1,000, or both

Takes effect immediately upon passage
