Adds two positions to the list of Department of Corrections employees eligible for correctional officer retirement benefits: deputy chief of inspection and inspector

These positions would qualify for retirement at age 55 with 25 years of service within the Department of Corrections (for those eligible on or after October 1, 2009)

Currently covered positions include assistant director, assistant deputy director, chief of inspection, associate directors, correctional officer, chief of security, work rehabilitation program supervisor, supervisor of custodial records and reports, and classification counselor

The act takes effect upon passage
