Department of Health must establish indoor air quality guidelines for schools, including recommended thresholds for temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide, PM2.5, PM10, ventilation, and filtration

Department of Education School Building Authority must conduct uniform inspections and evaluations of indoor air quality and HVAC systems in each school building at least once every five years, performed by qualified personnel

Schools with HVAC systems must install MERV-13 filtration where feasible, or the highest level achievable without significantly reducing system lifespan or performance

Inspection results must be published online and sent directly to school principals, the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, and local school boards

Department of Education must submit a report to the General Assembly within one year with recommendations to improve indoor air quality in public schools, and designate a public point of contact for air quality concerns
