Extends liability immunity under Rhode Island's Mental Health Law to advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs), granting them the same legal protections previously limited to physicians and surgeons

APRNs participating in mental health proceedings cannot be held liable in court except upon showing of actual fraud or gross, willful, or wanton negligence

Protects APRNs from liability for damages arising from a patient's exercise of rights under the Mental Health Law, including discharge, when such actions contradict the APRN's written orders or advice

Amends Section 40.1-5-41 of the General Laws by replacing references to "surgeon" with "advanced practice registered nurse (APRN)"

Takes effect immediately upon passage
