Authorizes the Quonset Development Corporation to acquire, own, maintain, and control all lighting equipment, including streetlights, within the Quonset Business Park

Grants the Corporation the same rights municipalities have under existing law (§ 39-30-3) to acquire streetlights from electric distribution companies or municipalities, with required compensation

Addresses ongoing uncertainty about streetlight ownership in the business park that has hindered maintenance and compromised motorist and pedestrian safety

Expands the Corporation's general powers to include installing, relocating, abandoning, and removing lighting equipment at its sole discretion

Takes effect immediately upon passage
