Rhode Island College, established in 1854 as the Rhode Island State Normal School, is the oldest public institution of higher education in the state with a 180-acre campus, 282 full-time faculty, and over 6,500 students

The college offers 50+ undergraduate programs, 25+ graduate programs, a doctoral nursing program, and 21 NCAA Division III varsity sports

The Hope Scholarship, initiated in fall 2023, has benefited 568 Rhode Island students seeking 4-year degrees

Voters approved two bond referenda to modernize Clark Science facility (opened fall 2025) and transform Whipple Hall into an Institute for Cybersecurity & Emerging Technologies
