Creates the criminal offense of "teen dating violence" for physical, sexual, psychological, or emotional violence between persons 18 or younger in a dating relationship, with penalties matching existing domestic violence sentencing provisions

Allows victims aged 16 and older to seek protective orders or restraining orders without parental consent, though parents must be notified within 24 hours; victims under 16 require parental consent

Prohibits offenders convicted under this act from participating in pretrial intervention programs, and sentences must be served consecutively to any underlying offense sentences

Requires teen dating violence education to be added to South Carolina's comprehensive health education curriculum for grades 6-12, including as part of the mandatory 750 minutes of health instruction in high school

Mandates the State Board of Education to develop instructional materials on teen dating violence and requires schools to notify parents of this content and allow them to exempt their children
