Allows corroborating evidence for divorce to be submitted by affidavit (written sworn statement) rather than in-person testimony for no-fault divorces based on one year of continuous separation under Section 20-3-10(5)

Affidavit option applies when parties have resolved all issues, there are no contested matters beyond the divorce grounds, or the opposing party was served but failed to respond

Affidavit must contain all facts necessary for the court to make required findings to grant the divorce

Takes effect upon Governor's approval
