Members of school district boards, municipal councils, and county councils may place items on public meeting agendas without requiring approval from other members of the governing body

Requested agenda items must be included on the meeting agenda as long as they comply with Freedom of Information Act notice requirements

If a properly requested item is excluded from the agenda, the requesting member receives a three-minute period of personal privilege during the meeting to address the item and note its improper omission

Members receive additional three-minute periods for each additional excluded item

Meetings cannot lawfully adjourn until all personal privilege periods have occurred, and any motion to adjourn before these periods is invalid
