Amends Section 23-1-240 of South Carolina Code regarding body-worn camera data access procedures

Allows persons who are subjects of body-worn camera recordings to request and receive the data directly, without needing to pursue actions under the Rules of Criminal Procedure, Rules of Civil Procedure, or obtaining a court order

Removes subjects of recordings from the list of persons who must use formal legal procedures (court rules or court orders) to obtain footage

Creates a new provision (item 6) establishing a direct request pathway specifically for subjects of body-worn camera recordings

Takes effect upon approval by the Governor
