State agencies, departments, institutions of higher learning, and political subdivisions (including school districts) must prohibit government-managed electronic devices from accessing websites and applications that threaten cybersecurity, specifically citing TikTok, WeChat, and other Chinese-owned applications

The Department of Administration must adopt procedures to implement these restrictions for executive agencies and secure the state from cybersecurity threats

The Department of Administration must assist other covered agencies and departments with implementing security measures upon request

"Electronic device" is defined broadly to include computers, cellular telephones, and any computer-like instruments that access electronic communication, remote computing, or location information services

The act takes effect upon the Governor's approval
