Courts must order additional parenting time to compensate a parent who was denied court-ordered parenting time due to a Department of Social Services investigation that found no abuse or neglect

Courts must also order compensatory parenting time when denial resulted from material misrepresentation of fact made to the court by any person regarding that parent

Compensatory parenting time must match the same type and duration of time that was denied, including weekend, holiday, and summer parenting time

A party may avoid the compensatory order only by showing good cause why it should not be rendered

Takes effect upon approval by the Governor
