State departments, agencies, institutions, and political subdivisions (including school districts) are prohibited from using public funds to purchase U.S. or South Carolina flags unless they are 100% manufactured in the United States from materials grown or produced entirely in the U.S.

Entities may continue using previously purchased flags until replacements are needed

The bill takes effect upon approval by the Governor
