Expands the requirement to print the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline number on student identification cards to include private schools and extends coverage from grades 7-12 down to kindergarten through 12th grade

Changes the additional crisis resource requirement from mandatory ("must") to optional ("may") for schools and removes the specific list of suggested resources (Crisis Text Line, local hotlines, National Teen Dating Abuse Helpline)

Requires schools that do not issue student ID cards to provide crisis resource information in alternative written formats, including on school websites, computer home screens, school agendas/calendars, or at suicide prevention awareness activities

Mandates annual certification by public schools, charter schools, and higher education institutions that crisis contact information on ID cards is current and matches information on the SC Department of Mental Health website

Takes effect upon approval by the Governor
